Volunteer Opportunities:

• Small Group Leaders: Become a small group leader and play a crucial role in guiding and mentoring our SAY participants. As a small group leader, you will create a nurturing and supportive environment for faith-sharing, reflection, and friendship. You will facilitate meaningful discussions, encourage personal growth, and help our young participants deepen their relationship with God.

Volunteer Requirements:

• EIM Certification: All volunteers must complete the Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) certification. If you are not yet certified, don't worry! We can guide you through the process, and certification can be completed before you start volunteering.  More information on the EIM process can be found on the Austin Diocese website.  
• Commitment: We ask for your commitment to attend SAY gatherings on Sundays from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Regular participation helps us provide consistent support and guidance to our youth.
• Passion for Youth Ministry: We are looking for individuals who have a passion for working with young people, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, and helping them grow in their faith.

Volunteer Training and Support:

At SAY, we believe in providing comprehensive training and ongoing support to our volunteers. Together, we strive to create a dynamic and faith-filled community for our youth. Here's what you can expect as a SAY volunteer:

1. Overview Meeting: Before the SAY gatherings begin, we will hold an overview meeting where you will be introduced to the program, its expectations, and the vision we have for our youth community. This meeting will equip you with valuable insights and resources to better understand the goals and structure of SAY.

2. Supporting Becca, our Dedicated Youth Minister: As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to support Becca, our dedicated youth minister, in guiding and inspiring the young participants. You will work alongside Becca to create a nurturing and faith-filled environment for the SAY community. Together, we will foster an inclusive space where our youth can grow in their faith and build meaningful connections.

3. Leading Small Group Discussions: As a small group leader, you will play a vital role in leading small group discussions during our gatherings. This interactive setting allows you to engage with the participants, facilitate meaningful conversations, and help them deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith. Your guidance, wisdom, and support will empower our youth to grow spiritually and develop lifelong friendships.

4. Ongoing Support: We are committed to supporting our volunteers throughout their journey with SAY. We provide resources, materials, and ongoing training opportunities to help you feel confident and equipped in your role. Our team is always available to answer any questions, address concerns, and provide guidance as needed.
