Your commitment and dedication to supporting the spiritual growth of 7th and 8th graders are truly appreciated. Before you sign up to be a leader, here's some important information for you:

About JSAY:
JSAY aims to foster a strong Catholic community among 7th and 8th graders, providing them with opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, and fun. Our mission is to create a safe and engaging environment where young people can deepen their faith, build meaningful relationships, and discover their unique gifts.

Volunteer Requirements:
To be a JSAY leader, we ask you to fulfill the following:

• EIM (Ethics and Integrity in Ministry) Certification: All leaders must be EIM certified. If you are not EIM certified, you can complete the certification process before starting your service with JSAY. More information on EIM certification can be found on the Austin Diocese website.
• Availability: Leaders must be available on Wednesdays during the school year from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM for JSAY meetings and events.
• Passion for Youth Ministry: We are looking for individuals who have a passion for working with young people, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, and helping them grow in their faith.

Volunteer Training and Support:
As a JSAY leader, you will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure you feel equipped and confident in your role. Before classes start, we will hold an overview meeting where you will be introduced to the program and its expectations.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to support Becca, our dedicated youth minister, in guiding and inspiring the young participants. You will work alongside Becca to create a nurturing and faith-filled environment for the 7th and 8th graders.

In addition to supporting Becca, you will also be actively involved in leading small group discussions. This will provide you with the opportunity to engage with the students, foster meaningful conversations, and help them grow in their faith.

By joining the JSAY team, you will become an essential part of the vibrant and supportive community that is dedicated to shaping the faith journey of our young participants.
