I am proud to say that I am Pro-Life and I grew up in a Pro-Life household. My mom was a member of Right To Life before most people knew what that was. I was born the year after Roe v. Wade was decided. I come from a family of 4 siblings. When I was almost 13 my mother gave birth to our little brother. She was 39. He was unexpected. Not once, did anyone ever consider that this baby was less than a gift from God.
I know that many people do not have a strong background in the fight for the unborn that I do. I encourage everyone to take a hard look at your life and how you proceed through it. Do you promote ministries that fight for the protection of all, especially the unborn? Do you go Stand and Pray in front of Planned Parenthood on 29th Street? It's not for the faint of heart, but I encourage you to try it at least once. If nothing else, pray for those who are praying and sidewalk counseling. And let them know you are praying for them. Can you give a bit to the Good Samaritan Gabriel Project? We unloaded all our baby stuff last spring, maternity clothes, baby swing, high chair, baby clothes, blankets, etc. They were so excited to get that stuff! If you think about it, pick up a box of wipes or diapers or pacifiers or anything from the baby aisle next time you are at the store and drop it by. They are also on 29th Street. If you can swing it, go to the Texas Rally for Life this weekend in Austin. These are just 3 ways you can contribute to the Pro-Life cause. In addition, get behind the Bishops about this horrific assault to our Liberty that REQUIRES employers to pay for contraception and all healthcare providers to provide contraception. Contraception was the beginning of the slippery-slope that has become our culture of promiscuity, high divorce rates and abortion. You can read a lot more on this topic at http://www.catholic.com/tracts/birth-control . It is harder and harder to teach our children the sanctity of marriage and chastity. Don't give up, don't give in, keep the faith, fight the good fight. Our children and thier children depend on us to make things right. We can't afford to let others dictate to us our morals. We must be allowed to choose our own path...I choose the path of LIFE. Join me.
